According to the data of the General Administration of Customs on August 7, 2020, China exported 4.176 million tons of steel in July 2020, an increase of 475000 tons over the previous month, a year-on-year decrease of 25.0%; from January to July, China's total export of steel was 32.880 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17.6%.
In July, China imported 2.066 million tons of steel, an increase of 728000 tons compared with the previous month, a year-on-year increase of 210.2%; from January to July, China's total import of steel was 9.948 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 49.3%.
In July, China imported 11.267 million tons of iron ore (890, - 15.50, - 1.71%) sand and concentrate, an increase of 23.8% compared with last month's increase of 10.965 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.8%; from January to July, China's total import of iron ore sand and concentrate was 659.555 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 11.8%.
