Crude steel output in May increased by 4.2% year on year to 92.27 million tons
According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, in May 2020, China's crude steel output was 92.27 million tons, an increase of 4.2% on a year-on-year basis; in May, China's daily average crude steel output was 2.976 million tons, an increase of 5.01% on a month on month basis; from January to may, China's crude steel output was 41.175 million tons, an increase of 1.9% on a year-on-year basis
In May 2020, the output of pig iron in China was 77.32 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%; the daily average output of pig iron in May was 2.494 million tons, a month on month increase of 3.87%; from January to may, the output of pig iron in China was 355.99 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%.
In May 2020, China's steel output was 114.53 million tons, an increase of 6.2% year on year; in May, the average daily steel output was 3.695 million tons, an increase of 3.59% month on month; in January may, China's steel output was 488.19 million tons, an increase of 1.2% year on year.
