According to novel coronavirus, the Daily Star of Bangladesh reported on May 19th that the German steel manufacturer appealed to the government to provide 30 billion Taka low interest capital to compensate for the loss of the new coronavirus epidemic. The Bangladesh iron and Steel Manufacturers Association said the industry faced a loss of Taka 30 billion between March and April, but that manufacturers had to pay their employees and bear other expenses. Up to 90 per cent of the steel industry's raw materials are imported from the United States, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom and Australia, but they have been partially or completely blocked since early March.
